We start by looking for the clues in the text—the small, specific moments that reveal what’s actually happening underneath the scene. Most actors skip past them in favour of something “comfortable.” We don’t.

We’ll strip your audition down to the exact moments where you usually hedge, smooth things over, or try to stay in control—and then we’ll take those options away. What’s left is the thing you actually commit to, even when it makes you uncomfortable.

You’ll also learn how to rehearse in a way that doesn’t kill the spontaneity—so your preparation builds risk, not predictability.

Let go of the idea that you need to “perform” the scene. Instead, start by letting something actually happen between you and your partner. Together, you’ll explore what the characters want, what they’re willing to risk, and what shifts when neither of you is fully in control of what comes next.

But first, do the work already in the text. Follow the clues—what’s said, what’s avoided, what repeats, what changes. When you track it properly, the scene stops being something you perform and becomes something you discover.

At its core, this is about learning how to rehearse—how to use rehearsal not to perfect a result, but to test, risk, and uncover what the scene is really capable of becoming.
